About the “Around-England” family of sites – including legal stuff

Identity

I am David Murray, a retired international management consultant now the owner and web-master of the “Around-England” groups of web sites. The main “Around-England” was originally launched in 2008 as an offshoot from the online bookshop then run by my wife and myself and now in a somewhat different form at BrunleaBooks.co.uk.

“Around-England” is now at the heart of a group of travel-related sites. The ultimate intention of the site is to introduce and describe great places to visit around the country, but in the short term there is an admitted heavy bias to the North of England. The Lake District (I’ve now returned to live in Cumbria) has had most attention so far along with some coverage of the Yorkshire Dales. The other two northern national parks will follow.

The main related sites in the “Around-England” family are:
The Lake District in Books
The Lake District in Old Photos

Terms of Use, Financial Transparency, Privacy, etc.

There is a variety of information which I am legally obliged to include. In complying I have tried to use plain English and avoid gobbledygook.

The same paragraphs relate to all of my sites. So as to avoid unnecessary repetition and for ease of updating they can be found in one place at:

Hello,
Regarding around-england.co.uk
I am emailing to see if you have any advertising opportunities currently. I am looking to promote a car insurance comparison site that is about to relaunch next month. If you could send me details of any text link placements you can offer along with pricing information, I can make an immediate decision and pay by Paypal today. Ideally we would be looking for a link within a sentence of text, placed on your homepage only.

Thanks,
Stuart

Hello, I’m sorry. We don’t take paid advertising. The commercial links on the site are for selected affiliate relationships, for example Amazon.co.uk and Booking.com. Best wishes for your relaunch.
