… and what if you want to bring your dog to the hotel?

Especially on a walking holiday many people wish to take their dog along with them. It can, though, be quite a challenge to find dog friendly hotels. Lake District accommodation is no different in this respect, although it has to be said that there are more pet friendly Lake District hotels (as a percentage) than in many areas of the country. Among Cockermouth hotels the dog situation is easier than in some other places. Five of the six featured hotels above (the exception being Winder Hall) say in their promotional materials that they accept dogs, as also do The Pheasant and Armathwaite Hall.
